Balraj is a member of our litigation team with a focus on personal injury, insurance, and civil litigation. When it comes to personal injury and insurance litigation, Balraj exclusively represents those that have suffered injuries and those seeking insurance coverage.
Prior to his legal career, Balraj was a varsity basketball athlete at the University of British
Columbia and competed nationally and internationally. After a brief stint of professional
basketball, Balraj returned to the classroom to complete his education.
Balraj now channels his drive and competitive nature into his legal career and has assisted clients in matters before the British Columbia Court of Appeal, British Columbia Supreme Court,
British Columbia Provincial Court, Federal Court of Canada, and various tribunals. Balraj also assists his clients before all levels of court in Alberta.
In his free time, Balraj continues to be active in the local basketball community and enjoys
hiking.

Mentorship & Community
Before law, Balraj was a varsity athlete at the University of British Columbia, competing nationally and internationally in basketball — and briefly at the professional level. That experience taught him the value of preparation, resilience, and performing when it counts. He returned to the classroom driven by a desire to compete in a different arena, and he has carried that athlete’s mindset into every corner of his legal career.
Balraj remains active in the basketball community and is committed to giving back. He understands the role that sport plays in building character and connecting people across backgrounds, and he brings that same spirit of inclusion and hard work to his practice. Whether on the court or in the courtroom, Balraj holds himself to a high standard — and he expects no less when advocating for the clients who trust him with their most difficult moments.
